Milstein's commitment to the scale and form of architecture and his understanding of spatial relationships make his "art work" for architecture an integral part of the building for which his works are commissioned. All of the artifacts, stained glass, and architectural sculptures designed by Milstein are fabricated in his own studio, but are done with such sensitivity to the light and space of the buildings for which they are destined that they seem to grow organically from the structure itself. He accepts commissions for individual ritual objects, stained glass and sculpture as well as total synagogue interiors.
